One should know how media is corrupt. One news paper has attributed responsibly on Justice Ahemadi who delivered verdict on gas tragedy who said that no offence under Sec.304 IPC was made out. It was judicial order by a Bench of judges. He is not liable to answer publicly for the questionnaire put by one news paper. Had any grievance to the then government or media they ought to have moved application to the court but they did not do so. Secondly it is also a fact that there was no evidence on record to show that the Carbide Company did the leakage with intention to kill general public. Why such evidence was not collected by CBI to show that the intention was to kill people or there was an intention of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. How one can be held responsible without any iota of evidence on record? This should be answered by the press. Press can make hue and cry on no issue but it cannot make wrong thing right. All questions raised by the said news paper are of no worth as the Court has given verdict and if at all it was read by the editor he would not have made foolishness to put such questions to Justice Ahemadi.
The wonderful part is that media did not try to consult any expert advocate to consult and to find out that judgment from the law reporter and to publish it and thereafter to comment on it. Why media should keep the public in dark. The reality is that the media thinks it self to be omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient also. It does not give any importance to the views of the readers or the opinion of the general public. It says that what ever it writs is the last word. All this is nonsense.
The another news paper has published a caricature depicting that the then NDA government also released 3 terrorists in Kandhar episode and the Foreign Minister went to Kandhar to escort them. It is also a false story. There were about 170 persons in the aircraft and no relative of any passenger had come forward to say that government should not release the terrorist though the life of the passengers may be taken by them. The media also did not spoke any thing in the like nature. Then what to say about Mehabooba of J&K the top VIP who was also released at the cost of the terrorists. Why media is silent? All said and done media is most bias and as a corporally corrupt also.
The educated public is very cold in this respect and it never reacts strongly. It appears that it has nothing to do with the democracy. It is busy in earning its livelihood. Indian people have developed no culture to read and write on the burning issues. It is whole day busy in entertainment .consumerism and materialist attitude.
